Benefits
- Stipend:
- $3500 for six weeks; three bi-weekly paychecks
- Housing and travel:
- On-campus housing and meals for interns at Clemson University (interns living within driving distance to campus can opt to commute)
- On-campus housing and meals at Clemson University for Clark Atlanta interns, while attending mandatory 2-day workshop June 22 – 23, and final program July 22
- $200 in research supply funds to conduct research during six-week internship
- $200 in supply funds to implement teaching module in the classroom
- $500 mini-grant:
- Mini-grants are available for each participant, for continuation of research, translation of research to classroom teaching modules, or for conducting training of fellow teachers at their home institutions.
- Participants must each write a short proposal to receive the mini-grant. This will consist of a two-page project description, including the purpose of the proposed project and predicted outcomes, a budget, and a letter of support from appropriate personnel, such as a research mentor, or the science curriculum coordinator in the participant’s school system.
