Program Details
A program calendar is attached. The first day of the program will begin at 8:30 am with an orientation session. This will be followed by lunch with your advisor and graduate student mentor, and a laboratory orientation that afternoon. Days 2 and 3 will be an intensive workshop on how to develop an inquiry-based teaching module based on your research. This workshop will be conducted by Dr. Stacy Klein of Vanderbilt University.
All interns are required to attend these first three days of the program. There are weekly seminars, and a field trip to Clark Atlanta University, and it is expected that all interns will attend these events as well. Hours of work after the first three days of the program should be worked out between you and your faculty advisor.
