The Center for Advanced Engineering Fibers and Films Polymer Process Database is uniquely designed to support CAEFF process simulation efforts. The database enables efficient archival and retrieval of material characterization data, on-line measurements for validation of models, and simulation results. In particular, it is designed to work interactively with FiSim (Fiber and Film Simulation), the CAEFF integrated polymer process modeling package.

Rheological, thermal, physical and other properties obtained by experimental means.
Measurements corresponding to a polymer process (e.g., fiber spinning, film blowing, film casting), taken on-line or off-line.
Material properties derived algorithmically, (e.g., rheology or crystalline structure obtained using molecular dynamics simulation).
Results from the simulation of a polymer process (e.g., fiber spinning, film blowing, film casting).
