Polymer Database
Polymer Process Model

[ Home ] | [ Back ] | [ Search | [ login ]

The Center for Advanced Engineering Fibers and Films Polymer Process Database is uniquely designed to support CAEFF process simulation efforts. The database enables efficient archival and retrieval of material characterization data, on-line measurements for validation of models, and simulation results. In particular, it is designed to work interactively with FiSim (Fiber and Film Simulation), the CAEFF integrated polymer process modeling package.

Material properties from experimentsRheological, thermal, physical and other properties obtained by experimental means.
Process properties from experimentsMeasurements corresponding to a polymer process (e.g., fiber spinning, film blowing, film casting), taken on-line or off-line.
Material properties from simulationMaterial properties derived algorithmically, (e.g., rheology or crystalline structure obtained using molecular dynamics simulation).
Process properties from simulationResults from the simulation of a polymer process (e.g., fiber spinning, film blowing, film casting).
